What bills can I pay at Check Cashing USA?

You can pay many everyday household bills in person, including electricity and water, phone, cable and internet service, rent and community association payments, mortgage servicing, and credit card and retail store accounts. The biller table on this page lists frequently requested billers, but it is a sample rather than the full list — many more are accepted at the counter. Bring your bill or account number and an associate will confirm whether that biller is available.

How much does it cost to pay a bill?

A service fee is added to the amount of your bill, and it depends on the biller and the posting speed you choose. Common fees run from $1.50 to $4.00 — a Florida Power & Light payment is $1.50, and most phone and internet billers are $2.50. The exact fee is confirmed at the counter before your payment is processed, so you always know the total before you pay.

How quickly will my bill payment post?

Posting speed is set by the biller, not by us. Standard processing may take as long as three business days to appear on your account. Some billers offer a next-business-day option, and a few — including common FPL payments — can post instantly. Ask an associate which options that biller supports before you pay, especially if the due date is close.

Are instant bill payment options available?

Instant posting is available for select billers only, and a higher service fee may apply. Whether it is offered depends entirely on the biller. Tell the associate that you need the payment to post right away and they will confirm the fastest option available for that account and quote the fee before processing.

Can I make an instant FPL payment?

Check Cashing USA is an authorized Florida Power & Light Company payment agent, and instant posting may be available for FPL payments at participating locations for a $1.50 service fee. Availability can vary by branch, so call the store or ask at the counter to confirm before you make the trip.

What should I bring to make a bill payment?

Bring the bill itself, or at minimum the biller name and your account number, plus the amount you want to pay. That is all we need to look the biller up and confirm the posting options and the fee. Payments are made at the service window during regular branch hours.

Do I need a bank account to pay my bills?

No. No bank account is required to pay a bill at Check Cashing USA, and you do not need to be an existing customer. Walk into any of our 32 South Florida branches with your bill or account number and pay in person.

Can I pay multiple bills during the same visit?

Yes. You can pay several bills in one visit, and you can take care of other business — cashing a check, buying a money order or sending a money transfer — at the same window. Each bill is processed separately, so each one carries its own service fee and its own posting time.

Will I receive a receipt?

Yes. Every bill payment comes with a printed receipt showing the biller, the amount and the confirmation details. Keep it until the payment appears on your account — it is your proof of payment if you ever need to follow up with the biller.

What if my biller is not listed on this page?

The table on this page shows frequently requested billers, not the full list. We accept many more billers than are shown here. Call 1-833-FLA-CASH or stop by any branch with your bill, and an associate will check whether that biller is available and what the fee and posting options are.

Can I pay a bill that is due today or already past due?

You can, but tell the associate that the due date is close or has passed so they can look for the fastest posting option that biller supports. Standard processing may take up to three business days, which may not be soon enough. We cannot guarantee that a payment will post before a particular deadline, and any late fee charged by the biller is outside our control.

Can a bill payment be canceled or reversed?

Once a payment has been submitted it is generally final and cannot be canceled or reversed, which is why we confirm the biller, the account number and the amount with you before processing. If something looks wrong on your receipt, contact the branch right away and bring the receipt with you.

Are bill payment fees and posting times always the same?

No. Fees and posting speeds are set per biller and can change, and some billers offer more than one posting speed at different prices. The fees shown on this page are for common options and are a guide only. The fee that applies to your payment is always confirmed at the counter before processing.
